Phenol-formaldehyde resins are the product of condensation of phenol and formaldehyde in the presence of a catalyst. Due to its durability and high thermal resistance, phenol-formaldehyde resins are traditionally used as adhesives in the production of plywood. Brand: 3014-AFUF, Prefere14J620, Prefere14J630.
Назначение
Prefere 72 6452M is a liquid product of condensation of phenol and formaldehyde, used as a binding agent in the production of mineral wool.

Appearance pH at 20°C Density at 20°C Dry balance 0.6 g/2 hr/130°C Solubility in water at 20°C Storage at 20°C |
Reddish-brown liquid Approximately 9 Approximately 1,2 g/cm3 54 ± 1 % > 20 g/g Approximately 2 weeks |
The time of Gelatinization Prefere 72 6452m is about 6 min. The reduction of this indicator can be achieved by adding a small amount of ammonium sulphate. The share of free formaldehyde is not more than 0.7%. Prefere Viscosity 72 6452m is fairly low, about 30 MPa/sec.
The share of free phenol is less than 0.8%.
Production:
Prefere 72 6446M is a liquid product of condensation of phenol and formaldehyde, used as a binding agent in the production of mineral wool.
Basic physical and chemical features:
Appearance pH at 20°C Density at 20°C Dry balance 0.6 g/2 hr/130°C Solubility in water at 20°C Storage at 20°C |
Reddish-brown liquid Approximately 8,75 Approximately 1,185 g/cm3 52 ± 1 % > 20 g/g Approximately 3 weeks |
The time of Gelatinization Prefere 72 6446m is about 3 min. After the recommended number of urea (28.5%) is added, the gelatinization time is increased to 5-7 min. The reduction in the time of gelatinization is achieved by adding ammonium sulphate to the solution in a small quantity.
The share of free formaldehyde is not more than 11%. Adding the recommended quantity urea reduces the level of free formaldehyde to 0.3-0.5%.
Viscosity Prefere 72 6446m is fairly low, about 30 MPa • sec.
After temperature processing, ash content less than 0.1%.
The share of free phenol is less than 0.6%.
